A day in London
I dropped Ally off at Heathrow this morning - an early stat to fly to Mallorca. She is staying the night and then returning tomorrow with Michael - we are both very excited, and hope that he has a good time - most important. And that he goes home and is happy again there. Even more important of course.
I then drove into Central London and parked, and changed to using the bike - and it immediately began to rain. What a miserable day it was, and every now and then I had to take shelter from the worst of it. But I enjoyed it and was a tourist for some of the time, and then went to Rose Morris to try the Taylor guitar, and it was lovely. It had a great tone especially in the lower range, and played so nicly too. I will be putting in my order to the store in Ann Arbor to pick it up when we fly out to Canada and the USA. I am excited.
Then I had a good time having lunch with Katie and Ben at a very fine Thai place just off Carnaby Street. Tasty and great value too, especially for London. Oh, and I visited Katie’s store Selfridges & Co - what another world that is! Mobile phones for £3600 and a TV for £27000 - crazy worlds!
So a super day despite the frightful weather. There is just no summer here - Mallorca has it all!
